Brij Wines Albariño 2025 comes from the California project of Rajat Parr, whose work has increasingly centered on farming and site expression along the San Luis Obispo Coast, particularly around Cambria. Under the Brij label, Parr sources from organically and regeneratively farmed vineyards, often working with growers he knows closely, and applies a low intervention approach in the cellar. The broader philosophy is vineyard first, with the goal of transparency rather than stylistic imprint.

The wine is made from 100 percent albariño, a variety well suited to the cool, maritime conditions of the Central Coast. Fruit is typically harvested early enough to retain natural acidity, then gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts, usually in stainless steel or neutral vessels to preserve freshness and avoid overt oak influence.

The coastal influence is central here. Proximity to the Pacific brings steady wind, fog, and moderate temperatures, slowing ripening and shaping a profile built on tension rather than weight. The result is a wine that leans into citrus, orchard fruit, and a subtle saline edge, carried by clean acidity and a direct, mineral finish.

This is a focused, site driven expression of albariño through Parr’s lens one that prioritizes farming, restraint, and the natural conditions of the coast over more polished or aromatic styles.
