Kellerei Bozen Bianco Laven BIO 2023 comes from the cooperative winery in Bolzano (Bozen), in Italy’s Alto Adige — a region where steep slopes, cool mountain air, and varied soils help shape crisp, expressive whites. “Laven” draws its name from the local term for the mixed sedimentary and mineral soils found in the vineyards around Bolzano, and reflects the label’s focus on freshness and clarity.
The blend is anchored by chardonnay, supported by a selection of other white varieties typical of Alto Adige (often pinot bianco and pinot grigio in small portions), chosen to balance aromatic intensity with structure. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, gently pressed, and fermented in stainless steel to preserve primary fruit and lift rather than oak-driven influence.
In the glass it shows a pale straw colour with a subtle, clean sheen. The nose opens to bright citrus, green apple, and faint white floral notes, edged by a touch of spice.
