Daniel Bouland Bellevue Sable Morgon 2022

Daniel Bouland’s Bellevue vineyard is divided into two distinct cuvées — Sable, from sandy soils, and Cailloux, from stony terrain. Though separated only by a narrow path, the differences are striking. “The soil is completely different,” Bouland explains, underscoring the importance of terroir. The Sable parcel, composed of weathered sandy granite, sits on a steeper slope and is planted with 40–50-year-old vines grafted to Vialla rootstock, known for its low yields and suitability for sandy, granitic, and deep argilo-siliceous soils.
