Domaine Saint-Cyr La Galoche Beaujolais rosé 2025 comes from Raphaël Saint-Cyr, the fourth generation of his family to farm in the southern Beaujolais. After taking over in 2008, Raphaël converted the estate to certified organic farming and expanded into several of the northern crus. Today, the 23 hectare domaine also incorporates biodynamic practices, with a focus on healthy soils, native yeasts, and minimal intervention in the cellar.
La Galoche is made from 100 percent gamay from roughly 25 year old vines planted on clay and limestone soils around Anse. The grapes are directly pressed after hand harvest, then fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and allowed to complete malolactic fermentation. The wine spends about four months in stainless steel, with no oak influence, keeping the focus on freshness and the natural character of the fruit.
The 2025 is dry and fresh, with bright red berry fruit, citrus, and a lightly mineral finish. It has a little more texture than an ultra pale Provence style rosé, while remaining crisp and easy to drink.
A straightforward, organically farmed Beaujolais rosé that lets gamay, clay limestone soils, and simple cellar work do the talking.
