Ronco dei Tassi Pinot Grigio Collio 2023 comes from the Collio region of Friuli in northeastern Italy, one of the country's premier areas for white wine. The estate is located in the hills surrounding Cormòns and is known for producing elegant, site driven wines that showcase the region's distinctive ponca soils, a mix of marl and sandstone that contributes freshness and minerality. Founded in the late 1980s, Ronco dei Tassi has earned a reputation for meticulous vineyard work and a focus on expressing the unique character of Collio's hillside vineyards.
Made from 100% pinot grigio, the fruit is sourced from hillside vineyards where warm days and cool nights help preserve acidity and aromatic intensity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by aging on fine lees to add texture and complexity while maintaining the wine's purity and freshness.
The 2023 vintage offers notes of pear, white peach, citrus, and delicate floral aromas, supported by a crisp mineral backbone. Medium bodied and energetic, it balances ripe fruit with bright acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.
