Schloss Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner 2025 comes from one of Austria's oldest and most respected wine estates in the Kamptal region. Originally established by Cistercian monks in the 12th century, the estate is now led by Michael Moosbrugger, who has earned international acclaim for combining centuries of tradition with meticulous modern viticulture. Schloss Gobelsburg is widely regarded as one of Austria's benchmark producers, crafting wines that emphasize elegance, balance, and a profound expression of terroir.
The 2025 Grüner Veltliner is made from estate vineyards spread throughout the Kamptal. Fruit from the warmer, lower elevations provides ripeness and generosity, while grapes from the cooler, higher sites contribute freshness and vibrant acidity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the variety's purity, allowing grüner veltliner's signature character to take center stage.
The 2025 vintage opens with aromas of green apple, pear, citrus, white pepper, and fresh herbs, supported by subtle notes of stone fruit and wet stone. Light to medium bodied, it balances crisp acidity with a soft, rounded texture and a clean mineral finish.
