Fourth-generation winemaker Paul-Henry Pellé farms 40 hectares of organically grown vines in Morogues, a village in Menetou-Salon celebrated for its kimmeridgian soils. The estate is planted roughly one-third to Pinot Noir and two-thirds to Sauvignon Blanc, both of which flourish in this distinctive terroir.
Fermentation for the standard Menetou Morogues rouge takes place mainly in tank, with about 15% in a mix of foudres and 400-liter barrels.
Pellé’s wines share the hallmark traits of Chavignol’s finest: approachable and delicious on release, yet precise and structured enough to age gracefully for 10–15 years—or even longer in exceptional vintages. - from Importer Polaner Selections
