Foradori Teroldego 2023 comes from one of Italy's most influential estates. Based in Trentino's Campo Rotaliano, Elisabetta Foradori transformed her family winery into a benchmark for biodynamic farming and minimal intervention winemaking, helping revive teroldego from a little known local grape into one of Italy's most compelling native varieties. Today the estate is considered a leader in sustainable viticulture and terroir driven wines.
Made from 100% teroldego grown on the alluvial sands, gravel, and dolomitic limestone soils of Campo Rotaliano, the wine comes from a collection of estate parcels planted between the 1950s and early 2000s. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, harvested by hand, and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place for about a year in cement tanks and large neutral oak casks, allowing the grape and vineyard character to take center stage.
The 2023 vintage is vibrant and expressive, offering notes of wild blackberry, black cherry, plum, violets, fresh herbs, and wet stone. Medium bodied and energetic, it combines juicy fruit with earthy complexity, bright acidity, and fine tannins. Distinctive yet highly approachable, it is a versatile red that pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roasted vegetables, pasta, grilled meats, and a wide range of Mediterranean dishes.
Among natural wine enthusiasts, Foradori is often regarded as an iconic producer, and this bottling remains one of the best introductions to both the estate and the teroldego grape. It delivers remarkable character, freshness, and sense of place at an accessible price point.
