Sourced from their .66 hectare parcel of Rocche in Castiglione Falletto. This is one of the parcels that has been in their family for the longest time - over 50 years. Their parcel contains a small part of the Rocche vineyard that crosses over into the Monforte d'Alba commune.
Each cru is aged separately for 30 months in a mix of very large 40 to 75 HL casks of Austrian and Slavonian oak. In the spring, the crus are assembled into the final blend and then bottled at the end of summer. Finally, the wine spends a minimum of six months in the bottle before release.
Notes of orange, balsamic & licorice.
