Claus Preisinger is based in Gols on the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. He began making wine under his own name in the early 2000s after studying viticulture and working with Hans Nittnaus, and his vineyards have been certified biodynamic since 2006. Farming emphasizes living soils, composts, herbal preparations and biodiversity, while the cellar work is deliberately minimal, relying on spontaneous fermentation and little to no sulfur.

Puszta Blanca 2024 is a blend of 60% grüner veltliner, 35% weissburgunder and 5% muscat ottonel. The wine is spontaneously fermented in stainless steel with about seven days of skin contact, giving it more texture and grip than a conventional white without pushing it fully into orange wine territory. It remains unoaked, keeping the focus on freshness, aromatics and the saline character of the fruit.

The wine is bright and expressive, with preserved lemon, pomelo, yellow grapefruit and pineapple alongside honeysuckle and ginger. The palate is juicy and energetic, with brisk acidity, light phenolic grip and a distinctly mineral, salty finish.
