Jura

Collection: Jura

The Jura, located in eastern France between Burgundy and the Swiss border, is known for its small-scale, artisanal winemaking that reflect its diverse terroir. One of the region's signature wines is Vin Jaune ("yellow wine"), made from the savagnin grape and aged under a veil of yeast in barrels for at least six years, giving it a nutty, oxidative character similar to a dry sherry. In addition to savagnin, the region produces mineral-driven chardonnays, and light, fresh reds with earthy undertones from trousseau, poulsard, and pinot noir. Jura’s winemaking techniques are often traditional and low-intervention. Despite its small size, Jura has earned a cult following among natural wine enthusiasts for its unique expressions and commitment to preserving historical methods.
